Dear Fellow Old
Sherwoodians,
The Old Sherwoodians Society was formed on November 15, 2001 and registered at Haldwani with Sherwood College, Nainital as its registered office. This was done in order to give the Society a central bearing at the School and avoid any regional imbalances in its composition.
The efforts of the Society are and continue to be :
1. To bring the Global OS community together on a single platform in a cohesive and close knit manner.
2. To organize programs to aid and assist fellow OS, students, former / present staff members, former / present support staff and other employees associated with the School.
3. To aid and assist the School and its administrators in any which way possible.
A detailed memorandum and objectives of the Society can be accessed
from the Message
Board.

May we urge you take this opportunity to join the Society and become an active alumni. The Life Membership Fee is only Rs.5000/- and can also be paid in instalments spread over a year. The Annual Membership option has been temporarily withdrawn.
It is well known that most reputed public schools have a highly active alumni network and that is mainly because of a vibrant old students society.
It will be appropriate to add, that the present Executive Committee consists of stalwarts such as Gen. Tindy Sharma (President), Ranjit Mathur (Vice President), Lt.Col. R.P.Singh (Treasurer), and Shashivansh Bahadur (Member). The Society operates in a democratic manner and elections are held every 3 years - the next one scheduled for September 2006. An independent auditor is being appointed to maintain total transparency in the funds deployment of the Society.
You are welcome to add a voluntary sum to your cheque towards :
1. Ex-staff Welfare
2. Website Development & Maintenance
3. OS Society's Corpus Fund
We look forward to your participation.
Sincerely,
Rohit Patel (Retd. Cdre.) I.N. VSM
